Roundtable with Ambassador Sang-Woo Lim

On August 31, 2022, the members of the National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR) Chairman’s Council engaged in a roundtable discussion with Ambassador Sang-Woo Lim, Republic of Korea Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Director-General for North America. Moderated by NBR president Roy Kamphausen, Ambassador Lim spoke on the strength of the U.S.-ROK alliance, the Republic of Korea’s role both regionally and globally, and outlooks for an ROK Indo-Pacific strategy. Following his remarks, Chairman’s Council members were able to ask questions of Ambassador Lim and offer their own thoughts on strategies to advance freedom, peace, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific and beyond.

NBR Chairman’s Council is an exclusive forum for select supporters to engage with other business and policy leaders focused on Asia in a high-trust setting. Chairman’s Council members support NBR’s nonpartisan, above-the-fray approach to promoting U.S. policy toward Asia.
