Toshie Ando is Controller and Assistant Director of the Kenneth B. and Anne H. H.Pyle Center for Northeast Asian Studies.
As Controller, Ms. Ando plans and directs the financial activities of NBR at the highest level of management. She is responsible for financial reporting and analysis, internal controls, and coordinating the daily operations of all accounting functions. As Assistant Director for the Pyle Center, Ms. Ando helps to lead NBR’s Northeast Asia programs and research. She liaises with Japanese participants, partners, and vendors to coordinate events such as the Pacific Energy Summit. She also helped launch the Pacific Health Summit in 2005 and managed many aspects of the Summit, including serving as a liaison between the Japanese partners and the Summit team.
Before joining NBR, Ms. Ando worked as the Director of Operations for the Japan-America Society of the State of Washington. She holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Washington.
