Sungkyu Lee is a Resident Fellow at NBR.

Dr. Lee is a Research Fellow and Head of the International Information Analysis Division at the Korea Energy Economics Institute (KEEI). He joined KEEI in 2004 and spent six years as a researcher at the Institute for International Economic Policy.

Dr. Lee received his PhD in Economics from Moscow State University in the Russian Federation in 2001. He is an expert in the areas of international energy cooperation, specifically in Northeast Asia (including Russia and Central Asia). His recent publications include “Current Situation and Prospect of Energy Resources Development in the Arctic” (2010) and “Challenges and Tasks of Energy Cooperation in Northeast Asia” (2014).
