Saadia Pekkanen

Saadia Pekkanen is Job and Gertrud Tamaki Professor in the Henry M. Jackson School of International Studies at the University of Washington and an Adjunct Professor in the School of Law. She is presently directing a project entitled “Institutionalizing Asia: Theory, Practice, and Power in Time” that examines how power and social dynamics affect the design of economic, security, and societal institutions in contemporary Asia. The project builds on her previous work on international political economy, law, and security. She holds degrees from Columbia University, Harvard University, and Yale Law School.
