Lincoln Hines
is a Bridge Award Fellow at NBR.

As a Bridge Award Fellow with the Political and Security Affairs group, Mr. Hines provides research and publications support for various projects such as China Security Studies, Strengthening the Asia-Pacific Order, and the China’s Rising Leaders Initiative.

Prior to joining NBR, Mr. Hines was a Boren Fellow in Beijing, where he studied at Peking University. He interned twice at the Department of State, for both the Bureau of East Asia Affairs and the Office of the Undersecretary for Democracy and Global Affairs. He also interned at the Congressional-Executive Commission on China and the Asia Strategy and Leadership Institute in Kuala Lumpur. Mr. Hines speaks Mandarin Chinese and his research interests include U.S.-China relations, China–Southeast Asia relations, territorial disputes, and democratization.

Mr. Hines holds an MA in International Affairs from the American University School of International Service and a BA from the University of Virginia in Foreign Affairs and East Asian Studies.
