Joann Peterson


Joann Peterson is an editorial assistant with the Publications team at NBR.

Prior to joining NBR, Ms. Peterson was an international trade analyst at the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC) in Washington, D.C. There she researched and analyzed regulatory barriers to trade in the services sector, with a focus on transportation services. During her tenure, she contributed to numerous USITC publications as an author, reviewer, and project leader. Earlier in her career, Ms. Peterson worked in Japan, where she taught English at a junior high school in Iwate Prefecture and was employed as an account executive at an advertising agency in Tokyo.

Ms. Peterson received a BA in International Economics from Cornell University and an MBA from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business. She is currently a student in the Editing Certificate program at the University of Washington.
