The National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR)
Jilan Liu is a Special Advisor for the Center for Health and Aging (CHA).
As a Special Advisor, her primary areas of responsibility are to facilitate collaboration with governments and organizations in China and to provide advice and technical expertise on the development of health care programs across the Asia-Pacific region.
In addition to her work with NBR, Dr. Liu is the founding principal for JR & Associates, a Seattle-based consulting practice providing consulting services in clinical and financial planning, health care management training, physician profiling and performance analysis, quality improvement, and clinical guideline development and implementation. Prior to that, she worked for five years as manager for practice performance and improvement for Group Health Cooperative of Puget Sound, one of the oldest and most influential HMOs in the United States.
Dr. Liu received her MD from West China University of Medical Sciences in Chengdu, China, in 1987 and an MHA from the University of Washington in 1994, where she completed an administrative internship with the University of Washington Physicians.
Dr. Liu has lived in the United States since early 1991, and in Seattle since 1992.
