Fern Hinrix

Fern is an intern supporting NBR’s Next Generation and Fellowship Programs team. She is completing a BA in global and regional studies at the University of Washington with a focus on East Asia and will be graduating Spring 2025 with a minor in Chinese language and interdisciplinary honors. Fern has spent time learning Mandarin in Taipei, Taiwan, at National Taiwan University and is also a Cybersecurity Fellow in the Henry M. Jackson School’s International Policy Initiative. She is interested in the intersection of technology and geopolitics in East Asia and is looking forward to contributing to the NextGen team at NBR!
