The National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR)
Erin Fried is the Project Manager for the Political and Security Affairs (PSA) group. In this capacity, Ms. Fried supports the PSA executive team and projects such as Strategic Asia, the People’s Liberation Army conference, and China’s Rising Leaders.
Prior to joining NBR in April 2011, Ms. Fried managed communications and advocacy for the Irish International Immigrant Center in Boston. She served as a policy intern with the United Nations Office of the Recovery Coordinator in Aceh, Indonesia, in 2007 and worked as a marketing specialist for T. Rowe Price from 2003 to 2005. She also served as contributing editor of the Potomac, Washington D.C.’s literary and political review, in 2003-04.
Ms. Fried holds a BA in Creative Writing from Carnegie Mellon University and an MA from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, where she studied land tenure reform as a peacebuilding intervention in Southeast Asia.
