Daniel Schoolenberg is an Intern with Political and Security Affairs at NBR.
Prior to joining NBR, Daniel spent several years living in China. He served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Guizhou province, earned a graduate certificate from the Hopkins-Nanjing Center, and has previously interned with Trivium China, SupChina and the Association for Diplomatic Studies & Training.
Daniel completed his Master’s in Asian Studies from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service with a concentration in Politics & Security and a certificate in Diplomatic Studies from the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy. His current research is focused on U.S.-China relations, climate change, the Eastern Mediterranean, and Oceania. He has working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and beginner-level Korean.
