Ann Marie Murphy is Associate Professor at the Whitehead School of Diplomacy and International Relations of Seton Hall University, Adjunct Research Scholar at the Weatherhead East Asian Institute of Columbia University, and Associate Fellow at the Asia Society. Dr. Murphy’s research interests include political change and international politics in Southeast Asia, U.S. policy toward the region, and the rise of nontraditional security issues—particularly climate change and infectious disease. She is currently researching and writing a book on the impact of democratization on Indonesian foreign policy. Dr. Murphy received her PhD in political science from Columbia University.
