This issue of Asia Policy  features a roundtable on the interests and involvement of several Asia-Pacific states in the Arctic region; articles and essays on Japan’s climate policy, China’s strategic activities in the Yellow Sea, Russia–South Korea relations in light of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Australia’s newfound balancing approach after subjection to Chinese economic sanctions, and the demerits of India’s attempts to economically decouple from China; and a book review roundtable on the Chinese state’s use of nonstate actors to engender social compliance.
