As an Intern with the Trade, Economic, and Energy Affairs group, Ms. Choi assists with research and planning for the Pacific Energy Summit and the Energy Security Program. She is pursuing a PhD in Northeast Asian Studies and Energy, Resources, and Environment at the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). Her dissertation research pertains to the political economy of the liquefied natural gas (LNG) market in Japan and the Republic of Korea.
Prior to her role at NBR, Ms. Choi worked for the Clinton Climate Initiative, leading the development of new climate and energy programs. She recently returned to the United States from Tokyo, where she conducted dissertation fieldwork as a Boren Fellow under the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan. Ms. Choi earned a BA in Political Science at Columbia University and an MS in Energy and Environmental Policy at New York University.
