Seattle Events alongside APEC Meetings in August


With Seattle hosting the Third APEC Senior Officials’ and Ministerial Meetings in August, NBR has organized a series of in-person events in the city during the week of August 14–18.

Partners across the Pacific: U.S.-Taiwan Trade and Technology Relations

August 14 | 3:00–5:30 p.m. | 1301 5th Avenue, Seattle

Experts from NBR’s network will discuss how the United States and Taiwan can cooperate to promote shared objectives, including resilient technology supply chains and progress in the U.S.-Taiwan Initiative on 21st Century Trade. Pacific Energy Summit: International Trade and the Energy Transition

August 17 (full day)–August 18 (morning only) | Downtown Seattle

Key stakeholders from around the world will explore best practices for balancing energy trade, decarbonization, and geopolitical concerns, as well as shifts in world energy markets, the energy transition, and the role the United States could play in boosting regional energy and environmental security.
