NBR Welcomes Jennifer Li Dotson as Vice President of Philanthropy

Ms. Dotson brings over 20 years of experience in development, communications, and operations; has served in development leadership positions with national organizations; will lead NBR’s institutional fundraising efforts in Seattle and Washington, D.C.

SEATTLE, WA | Today, NBR is delighted to announce that Jennifer Li Dotson has joined as Vice President of Philanthropy.

Ms. Dotson brings over 20 years of experience in development, communications, and operations at the local, regional, and national levels. Prior to joining NBR, Ms. Dotson served as the Vice President of Philanthropy at the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii planning, managing and implementing targeted fundraising strategies. She was the Regional Chief Development Officer at the American Red Cross where she increased the donor base and strengthened development programs. She also served at Mothers Against Drunk Driving, at the Muscular Dystrophy Association, and in the office of Governor Linda Lingle of Hawaii. At NBR, Ms. Dotson will provide executive leadership to shape and develop institutional fundraising efforts in Seattle and Washington, D.C.

As a diplomat with the U.S. State Department, she served in the U.S. Embassy in London. She also held positions at the U.S.-China Business Council and American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong. Currently, Ms. Dotson is an adviser to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights, Hawaii State Department of Public Safety, and Hawaii State Department of Labor. She is also a national board member for the Association of Fundraising Professionals and past president of the Junior League of Honolulu.

Ms. Dotson assumed her duties at NBR on October 1.
