Joseph Michaels

Joseph Michaels is an Intern with the Political and Security Affairs group at NBR.

In this role, Mr. Michaels supports research, publications, and events for Political and Security Affairs projects.

Prior to joining NBR, he worked as a research and program intern at the Carnegie-Tsinghua Center in Beijing, as a research assistant at Georgetown’s Asian Studies Program, and as an intern at the U.S. State Department’s Office of Economic Sanctions Policy and Implementation. Prior to graduate school, Mr. Michaels worked as a management consultant for Accenture, advising ICT clients in the Asia-Pacific. He received a BS in economics and a BA in political science from the University of Florida. He speaks Mandarin and Spanish. Mr. Michaels is a studying for a MSc in foreign service at Georgetown University.
