Aimée Tat is a Political and Security Affairs Intern at NBR.

Ms. Tat conducts research in English and Mandarin for a number of NBR initiatives, including China’s Vision of a New Regional and Global Order and the Strategic Asia Program. She also provides support for the “Strength to Strength: The Future of the U.S.-Australia Alliance” workshop and various Taiwan projects.

Before joining NBR, Ms. Tat worked as a Project Manager with Rumi Consultancy in Kabul documenting World Bank–funded development projects in Afghanistan. She earned her master’s degree in International Security from King’s College London, where she focused on Asian security affairs from a Chinese perspective. Her research interests include the Belt and Road Initiative, Chinese grand strategy in South and Central Asia, Chinese domestic security, and terrorism and insurgency in Afghanistan.
