Tim M.M. Cook
Tim Cook is the Assistant Director, Political and Security Affairs and the Assistant Director of the Washington, D.C. Office at NBR.

Mr. Cook supports the Director of the Washington, D.C. Office and the Vice President of Political and Security Affairs in a wide range of activities and initiatives.

Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Cook was a Next Generation Fellow at NBR. He holds an M.A. in International Studies from the University of Washington and a B.A. in International Relations from Carleton College.

His research interests include Chinese foreign and security policy, as well as issues dealing with the implications of the spread of nuclear-related materials and technologies in Asia. Mr. Cook has experience teaching English in Gansu and Ningxia, China with the World Trade Centers Association and he speaks Mandarin Chinese and French.
